Spin-offs of Silent Hill
On my article The nightmare of Silent Hill I talked about 11 games but I only described the 6 main ones. Now let’s me show you the 5 spin-offs which are more action based game.
Silent Hill Play Novel
Released in 2001 only in Japan for the Game Boy Advance game console, the game concept is totally different since it is based on graphic novel that you have to read and after you have to select one of the option to move forward. The story is the same like Silent Hill so you play Harry Mason and you have to find his daughter but you will be also involved in Cybil and Andy role.
Silent Hill The Arcade
Showed during the Arcade Operator's Union 2007 and released months after in Japan, the game is played with a gun and looks like games as Time Crisis or House of the Dead. You play either Eric or Tina, 2 students who went to the town with some classmates to know if the rumors, they heard about the town, are true or not.
Silent Hill Mobile
Also known as SH Orphan, the game (developed for mobile phone) is released in 2007 in Japan and in Europe and in 2008 in US. It uses the point-and-click gameplay and you play Ben, Moon and Karen in first person system who have been drawn to a mysterious orphanage where they spend their childhood.
Silent Hill Mobile 2
Released in 2008 and developed for cell phone, the game is the sequel of the first one and still based on click and point adventure. You play Lucas and Vincent after to be woke up on a hospital bed by a mysterious voice which starts to whisper the first event.
Silent Hill The Escape
Also released in 2008, it is the first mobile phone game in 3D in first person system where you evolve in a maze like environment and you use the camera of your cell phone to monitor your movement, to reload your gun and to aim at the enemies.
