Kylie, Aphrodite les Folies tour in Barcelona
It was a great and fantastic show that Kylie Minogue performed this last Saturday March 12, 2011 at Barcelona. I was one of those spectators in the Sant Jordi Palace waiting for her since 20h15 but she didn’t come out before 21h30 meanwhile 2 DJs were performing from 20h30. On the scene, I could only see a curtain with a kind of roman temple behind it and nothing more was revealed until the last moment so when the first DJ was performing, some dancers came out to animate the audience and that’s it. me, a greek temple totally illuminated with dancers ready to move their body at the rhythm of the music and the voice of Kylie. The diva was not on the scene yet and some video projections started to show up between the columns. The audience was amazed of the decoration and some people, including me, were ready with their camera to capture the right moment.

In fact, I was already recording even before that the curtain disappeared. The video was showing people dancing in the water under the charm of the sound of a lyre and just before that dancers started to move under the rhythm of the song aphrodite, pictures of Kylie were showing. Few seconds later, a shell shaped golden seat rose up from the ground and here, she was, dressed like a goddess, ready to keep going on performing the song with the audience.
Once finished and that people heard her said Barcelona, we all screamed showing her that we were here, right now, tonight for her and with her, already bewitched by her voice. After the 2nd song the one, she disappeared to reappear riding a pegasus by performing illusion.

Because of the top of the scene formed a triangle, she was able to get closer to her fans so during about 2 hours, we were able to see her closely for instance when she stood up on a chariot pulled by strong men by singing I believe in you, standing alone on the top of the triangle shaped scene singing come into my world and the most impressive performance when singing all the lovers. Of course, all along of the concert, she changed cloths so I saw her for example in a marvelous black dress, wearing shorts as naturally as she is and a cabaret shining dress.

Around 23h10, she stopped to sing and talked to us, saying that she was happy to be able to perform in Barcelona, above all when this city represents something special because of her cupid boy Andres Velencoso. Her boyfriend was in the VIP area so we started to scream “un beso, un beso, un beso” (one kiss, one kiss, one kiss) and she did it !!! After that, we said loudly “que bonito, que bonito, que bonito” (so beautiful, so beautiful, so beautiful). To finish her speech, she asked us if there is a particular song that we wanted her to sing so she started to perform put your hands up.

One of the original versions she did was for the song slow, standing in the middle of a circle and surrounded by 6 dancers attached on the floor, the circle rotated and in same time, it raised up showing slowly the dancers and her, standing in the center singing slowly with a sensual voice.
Like said above, the most spectacular moment was the last song all the lovers. It was a show of light and water, dance and acrobatics and the most important point, performing very close to the audience. A kind of 3 circular mini platforms raising from the floor, for each one there were dancers and on the top, Kylie. All of them were surrounded by a fountain and during the chorus, some dancers were attached with a cord raising them on the air to dance. And us, with our pink balloon given by the security people, we sang and raised our arms with those balloons to thank her for this wonderful concert.
